"There is a little Feral
Fraidy Fellow that I have been working with for many months, including
have to trap, repair foot and neuter, who comes each night rain, wind
sleet, or snow ... to be fed. He eats inches from .. but touching at
this point is not an option... Hiss hiss.;-)
My friend said that her father has some barn cats and that they loves the
honeysuckle so I decided to try the pillow out on him, truly not
thinking that he would be interested... he is always on the alert... no
time to play.....but one day after eating some food and walking a bit
away to try to figure out some way to stay without looking like it was
because he wanted to...I sat there and batted the pillow around a
little...and he walked over as I pretended to not be interest in it
anymore and to my great happiness he fell over on his back and began to
roll around with it... he rolled his face over it again and again... and
looked so very happy and peaceful... both Big deals for him. I tried to
contain my excitement. A couple of times he was so happy he almost came
over and rubbed against ME...then he realized that he was about to touch
IT...eeeeeeuuu...but...this little pillow was now to be another key in
my helping him.
With the weather turning nasty I had been unable to entice him to the
other end of the house... into the garage...where he could find
shelter... and where I could fix something warm for him.....but I kept
trying... and finally I put the pillow in there...and sure enough he
went in and I could tell... rolled around on the bedding....and I have a
second place to put food out, leaving the garage up just enough for him
to get in.
Now... I wanted another one to put back out on the deck... in the
doghouse I bought that he does not use except for getting treats out
of.. After I got the honeysuckle pillow as a gift... I swore that I saw
them in many places... I needed more and could find none.
Although the feral reacted immediately to the catnip....I realized a
problem. the catnip got him playing, pretending it was prey, sitting on
it... etc... But he got so excited that he seemed to scare
himself...while playing with it... and would end up flying up in the air
and running off. I figured this was not good if I was trying to get him
to calm...and to feel comfortable and safe.... I knew that I needed that
honeysuckle.
Lucky for me... a cat show arrived in town this last weekend... and I
managed to show up ten minutes before it closed AND I found one vender
selling them. so I got to go home with a few new pillows ..moistened one
and took it outside and ...he had arrived and went immediately to the
pillow and ....bliss.
Completely different reaction than with the catnip. both cause him to
play and roll around but the honeysuckle had him rolling blissfully
rather than frantically.....so much that I was able to stoke him with
the wand.....along the back and he rolled and rolled and rolled back
till his back feet were ALMOST touching me..... (I had to stay
calm...and not think about how those feet might react if he realized
that they might touch ME)... and when he got up... it was with calm
demeanor....and he then proceeded to eat...most of his dinner... where
with catnip he would have been too keyed up for that.
So thank you... your product has become an important tool to my working
with him.
It is so hard when you just want to pick an animal up out of the cold and
wet and wrap your arms around it and .. you can't because it is wild.
Honeysuckle may be the key to helping this guy take another step toward
trust. he wants to... but he needs help. Thank you" C.

that interested in much of anything in terms of toys until he got his

I had been told about the
honeysuckle "pillows" by one of my coworkers and after about 6 months
finally bought some, brought it home, sat back and had the best laugh,
my chubby, normally sleeping kitty was doing flips throwing it around,
pouncing on it and at one point actually used it as a pillow. She
loves it and doesn't turn into psycho kitty like she does with catnip.
